  • 300 meters
  • 03m 37s / 100 meters
Comments:

Good swim, lovely calm water with no waves, currents or stingers.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Theres so much to change - need to put on running top, bike pants, socks, shoes, helmet, gloves, sunnies ....
What would you do differently?:

Consider getting a tri suit to save time in this transition.
Bike
  • 28m 8s
  • 10 kms
  • 21.33 km/hr
Comments:

Lovely flat, smooth road. Am surprised my average speed was 21km/hr as my bike computer said I was doing 28-30kms/hr but I think the official time includes time spent in T1 which took me a while.
What would you do differently?:

Spend less time in T1.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Run
  • 15m 55s
  • 2.5 kms
  • 06m 22s  min/km
Comments:

I ran quite fast compared to my usual speed looks like I'm getting faster. It was REALLY humid with no wind, had to tip water onto myself to keep cool.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate a banana and drank 2 cups of sports drink provided by organisers.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I think I did really well - my best tri so far (my 3rd ever tri). Just keep training and it can only get better :)

Event comments:

I had a really good time. Will be back in Rockingham for the next triathlon 14th Jan 07!

Nice race, cconditions were sensational...if not for the heat on the run.  They organise a very good race.

I think the bike time included T1 and T2 by the way, the timing mats were on the way in and then on the way out, so your bike computer would have been correct.

Good luck in Wikki...
