Comments: I didn't start out to fast like I did last weekend. The first mile wasn't smooth but then I fell in to a rhythm. At mile three I realized that I had a chance to get in under 50 minutes so I picked it up, but didn't quite have it. Hopefully next time! What would you do differently?: Get there earlier and stretch a bit more.  Post race
Warm down: Met up with my wife, kids and my brother (who did the 5k). Ran to the porta john again and then ran back to see my kids run the 1k fun run. They both did great and had fun and were very stoked to get their "medals". What limited your ability to perform faster: training Event comments: Fun family event and atmosphere. Got up and ate a Z bar and put on about 8 layers of clothes. Got the kids dressed and headed out. It wa 41 when we got in the car......cold!!!
Got there late and then the shuttle bus took a wrong turn which set us back 10 minutes. I was getting nervous about the time. Quick run to the porta john and then some stretching and a bit of jogging.
