Subject: Back cramps on the swim?
Anyone ever have back cramping on the swim? I don't recall this from my HS swimming but that was over 16 years ago. Anyway, today at my noon swim I had the worst back cramps as I was about to start the 3rd rep of my 50 repeats. I thought I was done for the day but I did some stretching, and rested for a few minutes. After that I did a very easy and slow 300 and the cramping was completely gone. I did the remainder of my 50 repeats with no problem. It was just strange because I haven't had any cramping etc. on the swim since I started about 3 weeks ago. Anyone else experience this/have a solution? Maybe I went out to fast on my 300 warmup?

Are you maybe not balanced in the water and causing an arch in your back?

Balance? Hmm...that's a good question maybe I need to have someone watch my stroke.
