Comments: Pleased with my first tri swim, was quite anxious before race as this was the only unknown for me. Transition 1
Comments: Didn't change out of swimsuite, used running shoes so no shoes connected to bike. Took my time making sure I had everything before leaving, as it was very hot and I had my water/gatorade bottles in a cooler. Bike
Comments: Didn't push myself too hard as it was so hot and I didn't want to bonk before evening running or bonk during the run. What would you do differently?: Push harder Transition 2
Comments: Didn't have to put on running shoes as I rode with them. Run
Comments: Running is my strength, but with the heat it was brutal. Again, just like the bike it was difficult to know how much to push myself without bonking. Afterall, I wanted to finish after training for so long and having the goal for over a year. I actually had to walk a couple of times because the humidity combined with the heat was so intense.
