Comments:

First 5k... it was tons of fun. They had a good turnout, probably around 300 people. I didn't do too great, but for my first 5k, I'm fine with it... at least I did it!
What would you do differently?:

For some reason my left shin cramped up real bad. I'm going to try stretching them a lot better next time. I would have been faster had that not happened.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Stupid left shin. I never had it cramp like that before.

The fact that I spent the last 2 nights in Chambersburg...for a wedding... with heavy drinking both nights... and only getting a few hours of sleep both nights probably didn't help :)

Don't beat yourself up over your time, which is great for your first time. Now you have a time to beat, and hopefully with better pre-race rest and nutrition ( of the non-alcoholic variety).

Congratulations on your first 5k!!!!!!!!!!!!  A half hour of running is a great way to detox after a wedding.

Aren't these local 5k races a blast!  Good job!
