Pre-race routine:

Woke up @ 0745 decided to race. Ate some vector and drove to white rock.
Grabbed a coffee from home first.
Event warmup:

Got to the event with 30 mins to spare, registered and went to find a bathroom...none around...glad I was a guy at that precise moment :)

Comments:

Run was good. I decided to take it easy this time in the first k and pulled a 5:22 and then picked it up a bit. My lungs were still filled with phlegm and I was coughing the whole way. Cleaned out my sinus's lots!
I could have kicked in the last 500m and passed about 10 people but I thought what the hell.. its new years day!
What would you do differently?:

Not drink before the run...Train for a race in the month prior....Go to bed early...ahh hell everything went wrong prior tot he race but it was a good race and I really enjoyed it!!
Post race
Warm down:

Got a coffee and drove home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Trainied poorley. Poor choice of runners. Needed some off road jobies as I was loosing traction in the mud!

Event comments:

This is part of the Peninsula runners 2007 Fraser valley Trail run series. Love it! cost me 15 bucks..I would have stayed for the post race but I was told to be home by 12 for no reason at all....unreal!
I would recomend this race to everyone who wants to run in the mud!!!!

Nothing quite like just waking up and doing a race, Dan.  Nice job.

Sounds like it was a fun, muddy run.

Not to shabby Dan!  It's impressive that you can pull off a time like that on a whim.  Great way to start off the new year.
