Pre-race routine:

Arrived at the even site early to sign up. Then sat in the car trying to stay warm. Michele and I decided to run this race last night.
Event warmup:

No warm up. It would have helped any way. While we were standing around at the start line, they announced that the race will be changed to a 5k. Bummer. So, we stood around trying to stay warm.

We saw Aaron, Haley and Sarah. Stood around talking to Haley and Sarah.

I ran with Michele at her pace. It was a nice run in the cold weather. This was just a run for the fun of it. It was a great way to start off 2007.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around. Talked to Aaron and Haley.

Event comments:

If I were a race director, I think I would check out the race course the day before the race. Doesn't that make sense? At the last minute before the start time, they 'dicovered' that part of the 5-mile course was too muddy to run through. So we stood around for a half hour while they turned the course into a 5k.

I'm glad I got to see you and Michele before I left. I agree that the course should have been checked out well before 30 min. prior to the race...

Good time as always and tell Michele I'm so proud of her! I'm still so happy that she's getting involved.

That stinks. Not the running with the wife part...but sheesh. That's terrible race management.
