Swim
Comments: right calf cramped about 45 minutes into the swim and had to roll over on my back for about 90 seconds. Calf was really sore until about 1/2 way on the bike. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Very dry conditions lots of salt on outside of jersey, but not sweating. inside of left thigh started to cramp at about mile 75. first time riding full 112 miles. What would you do differently?: drink, drink, drink Transition 2
Comments: Took a little extra time and used the porta potty What would you do differently?: should have stretched legs Run
Comments: started cramping at mile 2. Arms, cheeks, fingers, quads, hams, calfs. Walked mile 3, tried to do some running miles 4-12, could only run a block or two before cramping. Really focused on fluid replacement on mile 13, drink chicken broth and several gatorade cups and a gel. Continued this until mile 18. Now I could start to run longer before cramping. Ran out the last 2 miles. What would you do differently?: drink, drink, drink, Post race
