I just rolled into town also !

It's pretty breezy, but the temperature is GREAT.

And CRAP!, the ocean is noisy,  I can hear it from my hotel room

I'm in Atlanta right now and should be in town around noon today.  Is there any plan to meet up for a swim or lunch or something this week?

I brought a blue tent and will have it set up for THursday and Friday's swim. Looks like a good number of people are out swimming right now (looking out from my Gulf Crest unit) Its' VERY windy. The American flag at La Vela is horizontal!

I got in just after noon local time myself and got all settled in.

I'll be going for the swim tomorrow around 8-ish.

We are here!!!

What a lovely sunset!! I caught half the sun dipped into the horizon and had to stop to watch the rest disappear before losing sight of it on my run..

The water is calm!  SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!

I got in around 1pm and went right down to registration to get it out of the way.  The Gulf is definitely plenty cool for wetsuits. I got an hour ride in later this afternoon and just got back from a decent sushi dinner.  I'm planning to swim the course a little tomorrow morning around 7:30ish.

I went to Mikato last night for dinner and they had some really good sushi as well.  Is that where you went Joel?

Went to the Gatorade swim this morning right at 7, so got a sense of what it will be like on race day.  Sun  comes up on the left on the outbound portion so if you breath on the right on the return portion you will get a little in your eyes.  Not a big deal though.  May be more of an issue on the second loop.

Yeah, Mikato's the place.  Good sushi and cheap too...rainbow rolls for $7.  We're heading back tonight for dinner again.

Things are all coming together.  It's staring to cool off and the humidity is coming down.  Supposed to be mid-70s tomorrow.

I'm either going to try and make it to the BT jockstrapping house for a nice pasta dinner or just going out to get something cheap and easy.  I eat a LOT of sushi and Japanese food, so I can't keep dropping $40 each time I go out.
