Pre-race routine:

Staying at Wilderness Lodge and we know the roads at Disney REALLY well, so we went over at the LAST minute! Woke up at 4:30, arrived Epcot at 5:20, walked to corrals. The A/B/C and number corral thing was a mess, I hope they go back to the A-G for next year.
Event warmup:

None, jumped into corral right at the anthem! :)
Run
  • 2h 27m 20s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 15s  min/mile
Comments:

This was my 1st race following my gallbladder surgery 3 weeks earlier so I was thrilled just to be there! I ran with my significant other who I told I would probably have to stop and walk after 6 miles. When I made it to 8, he begged me to walk! :) hahaha. We did the walk/run thing for the rest of the race and had a fine time.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, it was my 3rd WDW 1/2 Marathon and I didn't have anything to prove.
Post race
Warm down:

Collected "Cape of Awesomeness", duck medal, ate a bunch of junk, went back to bed!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Significant other, hahaahha. Actually, I could have left him but that would have been rude! :)

Event comments:

I also volunteered at the Start of the marathon and that was a blast! Did you know those fire shooters run on alcohol? Did you know the championship guys set up the mat at 5am in about 3 mins? Did you know if you act like a monkey at the start line before anyone is there they will test you out on the jumbotron! And finally, the whole show is pre-run at 3am, so if you hear the countdown, see the fireworks, etc, don't panic!

Course: The "new" 1/2 marathon course (it changed 2 years ago) does not include the world showcase at Epcot which is a disappointment. The course is pretty much the same as always! It does have a lot of hills (on ramps)

A great run after only 3 weeks! I talked to the RD yesterday and he stated they were going to do corrals for each wave so there can be seperation between B1, B2, B3 and other waves
