COURT JESTER 12230 ROCKFORD, IL | Subject: RE: NFL Playoff Thread hangloose - 2007-01-15 11:32 AM On Mike & Mike this morning they said Gross Rexman outplayed Peyton and Brady this weekend. I almost veered off the road. His stats were ok but if you didn't see the game you don't realize he was about a hair away from 2-3 more turnovers than the stupid fumble he had. That guy is playing with fire. Yeah, he made some nice passes down field, but he's got to protect the ball better than that. All of that being said, it's going to be a disappointing end to the season for the Saints next weekend. GO BEARS!!! **waits patiently in the shadows for our cajun Bear to show up** (this could get good) |

We might just win it that way! |

I'm a complex modern man like that. The Saints offense really looked good.

Let's play the game and see what happens. Most of the fans here seem to be happy just to have made it, hope the team feels differently. |

Even if we win and the Saints lose, I'll have more respect for the Saints team this year than the Dolphish, who beat us. That team was pretty bad when we played them. Some good players, but their coach was in over his head. Judging by his actions since then I think he agrees with me. Besides, that was before Gross Rexman, Rex's evil twin, surfaced and started giving away football games. I'm going to spend this week trying to find him and kidnap him so only Good Rex shows up at the game. |

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: NFL Playoff Thread The NFC is weak as water this year. You could throw the Dolphins at either team in the Super Bowl and it'd be no contest. Pats or Colts...one of them will end up winning the February "Yawn-a-thon"!

Smiles! Heh! Well the Colts are cursed. Ever since "Vanderjerk" missed that 47 yarder to send the Pats to the Super Bowl, they've resorted to grabbing Vinatieri instead. Won't help...voodoo is stronger than treachery!

Master 1315 Shreveport, LA | Subject: RE: NFL Playoff Thread I've been a Colts fan for the past 4 or 5 years and would love to see them win. I've been wearing my Colts hat everywhere I go including work. Although I live in Louisiana, I am not going to jump on the bandwagon. I have not been a fan of them, so I am not going to start now (other than on my fantasy teams). But I hope they destroy the Bears. If it is the Bears and the Pats, I don't think I could stand to watch the game. |

The historic significance of Katrina stands on it's own. As far as I know there were Cajuns/Coonasses here on this site that did more than the Saints to help Katrina victims. So N.O. stick with the real story ie Ain'ts to Saints to Champs. Now I must admit I enjoyed seeing the Saints Heisman winner get "JACKED UP" last week. Seeing him crawling around on all fours with drool/unidentified slobber falling from his mouth just reminds us of what football is all about. I'm out.tupuppy - 2007-01-15 12:35 PM *waits patiently in the shadows for our cajun Bear to show up** (this could get good) Hey, the best two teams made it to the finals, at least in the NFC. The story may be over-reported, and your criticism of it may be (almost certainly) in jest, but do not underestimate the effect this team has had on the community and the rebuilding efforts in New Orleans and the Mississsippi Gulf Coast. |

Elite 2777 In my bunk with new shoes and purple sweats. | Subject: RE: NFL Playoff Thread Hey, how about those LSU Tigers! La football is beginning to garner the positive exposure it always deserved. No longer playing second fiddle to that state to their immediate west. The SEC in general is asserting their dominance. At the gathering I attended for the Nat'l Champ game the OSU crowd was crowing hard early on but when their golden boy got sacked for the first of many times I let out a celebratory, "Welcome to the SEC" cheer. That brought the predominant SEC crowd to life. It was all good from that point on. Go Cocks. |

Resident Curmudgeon 25290 The Road Back | Subject: RE: NFL Playoff Thread Don't get too "Cocky" now, y'all are still second-tier SEC. Which is still better than first-tier Big Ten. Yeah, it's been a great football season with the Tigers and the Saints, plus I won the big money in my pay Fantasy league and finished second in the BT League. Edited by the bear 2007-01-17 9:25 AM |
