Sports bra chafe - for the smaller boobages

Elite  3067    Cheesehead, WI |  Subject: Sports bra chafe - for the smaller boobagesOk...I've read lots of posts about chafing for those blessed with more padding than me but what is the deal with an A having rub marks where the sports bra band hits my chest just below my arm pit areas? I wear Shape by Champion and also just ordered a couple new ones figuring maybe that was the issue with older bras. I can take it if it the bra or just goes with the territory of more training but is it me? Am I doing something weird maybe with how I pump my arms running? Anyone else in same boat? |

I have one bra in particular that rubs on the band in the front. One pair of my tri shorts chafes along the inside of my left thigh. Another pair chafes a little tiny spot on my, um... butt (where the chamois meets the shorts). I've pretty much put the Body Glide on permanent Gym Bag duty, and have to remember which of what I'm wearing rubs where, and slather it on.

You might want to try different bras, as each has a different fit/shape and will have seams in different spots. And some companies do a better job of making seams that don't chafe. But in the mean time, definently get Body Glide. |

Yeah, bummer, I was checking out my bras and sure enough, there are seems that conjoin on each side along the band which must be the culprit! Sad thing is that I love these Champion Shape bras... but I'll give the body glide a whirl. |

Look at where the bra is hitting you under the arm... maybe try a different one that doesn't fit so close there. I wear the Champions friction free bra, and love them... but I will always get chafing under the boobs if I don't wear body glide, and sometimes even with body glide I will get it, if my race and sweating is long enough. I even pack a small chunk of body glide in a baggie and tuck it in my shorts when I race longer races... and I even clipped that tiny Body Glide bar to my shorts on the NYC marathon!! |

My underwire bra actually cut me. Have no idea why. On the other hand, I have had chafing before but usually was from my shirt. Usually if my shirt sleeve is very short, I will chafe. Just my .02. |

They are great and I get a lot less chafing. I still use body glide for longer runs and workouts (more than an hour), but not usually during shorter ones and I don't have a problem. |

I definitely agree that Body Glide works wonders, but also trying to stay generally moisturized may help. That and some bras just rub differently than others. Good luck! |

Someone use this for a sig line! Back to the issue at hand, our sporty boobs, I found that the less expensive the bra, the more chafing I get. Sucks, but it is worth the money to shell out for better quality stuff. I tried Champion years ago (I know the stuff is much better now) and had problems, switched to $%## expensive Adidas, and have no problems. |

I get chaffage where my sports bra hits the top of my chest - mostly after long runs - and it happens with pretty much all my sports bras. Maybe it is time to spring for a more expensive one... My older (different brand) ones have stretched out and become useless over time and washing, but these ones are wicked good. I'd highly recommend them. Where can you find this mythical body glide?
