Master  1927     Chicago |  Subject: Michael Phelps gets gold......WHOOOOO HOOOO! Phelps gets gold in the 400 IM and he set a new world record that broke the one that he set at the Olympic trials. Yeahhhh! Erik V won the silver so the Americans go 1 2. Yeahhhh. I love the Olympics! Can you freaking believe that he swam 400 meters with four different strokes in 4 min and 8 sec? What the heck? That's under a minute per 100. Geezzzz. This guy is freaking incredible. Go USA. USA. USA. |

That heat had to just be terrible. Whoever had the lame-brained idea to put the Summer Olympics in Athens needs to be sent to the stockade! Obviously they took no consideration of the athletes trying to compete in 100 degree heat and high humidity. |
