Pre-race routine:

Picked up rental bike thursday afternoon. Put on trainer, practiced with the gears, made seat adjustments etc.

Breakfast: cold cut sandwich and fruit.

Took a touring approach; started slow and picked up the pace as I went.

A bike race in Vegas in August...who is crazier, the coordinators or the participants?

Had the first overcast morning of the week.
It was a good morning for a race, but the sun had to break through about halfway in. Had a good time and didn't finish last.
