yeah but he needs to pick up the pace. He needs to avg 4.61 mph or about 13 min/mile and he avg 4.38 or 13:36 min/mile

48 hours is really tough distance to do. My friend just won female overall for a 48 hour race and it was one of the hardest things she ever had to do and she does about 4 100 mile races a year. She only got 153 miles.

Hopely he been running these kind of distance for a long time. Its so potentially hard on your body. Still 83 miles so far is still impressive. I am not discounting what he has done but I would say he will not make the 200 miles in 48 hours.

 200 (miles) / 48 (hours) = 4.17 mph

83 (miles) / 19 (hours) = 4.37 mph

He's actually ahead of pace, if he were to continue at the same pace he would complete 200 miles in under 46 hours.

Sorry, I'm a numbers geek.

Run aborted at 124 miles:

http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/homepage/abox/article_1549482....

Poor kid he did a good job most ultrarunners can not make 200 miles in 48 hours. He is one of the youngest people to attempt it. Most people talk about how hard a mary is because anything can go wrong but 200 miler man eveything seems to go wrong from what I seen from people I know who do it..

The topic is misleading since he is not in high school student.
