Comments: this run is in prep for the kaiser permanente half, last year my 10k pavement time was sub 49. I was training pretty heavily this year in prep for IMAZ, so i want to check my pre fitness 10k before the half.the run is rolling pavement it's shaded and was drizzling so i didnt really drink anything except before the run.i barely ddi any speed repeats and my training was pretty much aerobic, rpe (perceived exertion only) but alot of mileage 18-22 hrs per week(swim bike run).i took splits but made a mistake so i guess my pace was 7.36ish something What would you do differently?: i slowed down alittle bit during the last mile, if this was hammer time and dont have a race next week i would have made the last mile in 7.10 maybe.break 47. I let somebody pass me. It's all good! Post race

woke up ate some pancakes, surf bt and did some warm-up on the bike 3 hill
hill repeats where i live. drank water with carbo pro
none, stretch while waiting for the latrine but race started already
