Run
Comments: This was a super-flat course. It was not crowded at all. I ran this race last year and my time was the same this year. What would you do differently?: Nothing. This was not an A or B race, just a little training race and to get some mileage. I was pretty happy for my time and came in second for my age group. The lady that beat me was an Olympic runner. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit, but stuck close to the finish line so I could cheer for my friends. Pancakes were served with fresh fruit and coffee. That was pretty good. Stretched some. I wore my new Mizuno shoes for this race and found I got a blister right under my right big toe. I never had a problem with blisters when wearing the ASICS. What limited your ability to perform faster: This is a pretty fast time for me, so I guess nothing limited my ability. Event comments: THis race benefits the Pima Community College track program so there are lots of students there volunteering and running. Last updated: 2007-01-22 12:00 AM

This race started at 9:00 which gave me plenty of time to catch a few more winks before the alarm went off. Had some oatmeal with honey and soy milk.
It was pretty cold when I got to the race, so we sat in the car for a little while then drove to Starbucks to get some hot beverages. The line for the ONE portapotty was too long, so I went for a little warmup run.
