Okay.  I'll make an official Saturday morning ride thread for this weekend.  Looking at the previous posts, it sounds like 10:30 would work well for most everyone (those that need to get to work & those that like warm(er) weather).  I'll be @ Floyd Road at 10:30 am for a 2 hourish ride.

Anyone else want to throw their hat into the ring?

Hat...meet ring.  I'm still in and still planning on doing some interval work...just as well, because it's going to be tough riding next to Bling on his new toy...  You ARE planning to ride it, aren't you?

See you @ 10AM

Planning to ride it of course!!! What I was thinking is that we could ride out to Hiram casually, then hammer the course from Hiram to Dallas, then ride casually out to our turn around point, hammer from Dallas back to Hiram, then recovery ride back into Floyd.

Sounds like a plan!  (as long as you don't go supersonic on me...

Greg, totally understand, all of this fun/play stuff PALES in comparison to our first and foremost responsibility.

Brett, very sorry to hear about Lilly - I hope she feels better soon.

Rebecca, I understand if you're not there - and besides, your boss (I mean coach wouldn't want you doing intervals with me...

As it's my b-day today and my family loves me very much , my pass for tomorrow is still good (unless somebody starts puking or I do something *REALLY* stupid between now and time to leave house); thus, I AM still planning on riding...still planning to be at Floyd Rd at 10AM - launch between 10:15 and 10:30AM  I NEED to get in some intervals on the actual route to see if my lungs are still attached to my body...

My cell is 404-229-2033 if anybody wants to join me - just give me a heads up.

Cheers

FALLS-RUNNER - 2007-02-02 8:51 PM I'll be there at 10:00

OK...these sub-freezing temps are giving me second thoughts...the original forecast I was working off showed a high around 50/51...what I'm seeing now shows a high of 43 (at 3PM!)...it's 26 (probably about 20 where you live right now and it's not going to get much warmer.  I'm leaning toward trainer intervals...what do you think?

Here's the hour-by-hour forecase for Hiram (actual temp, feels like temp, dew point temp):

I ended up riding this morning...I never heard back from Falls Runner and didn't want to leave him hanging in case he'd already hit the road from N. Georgia...I never did see him, and presume he bagged it.  So, while down there and knowing that I *really* needed to hit the TT course hard, at least once, in order to get a realistic feel for things, I ventured out...geez it was friggin' COLD!!

I'll post a more complete report in my log in a bit, after I've enjoyed a nice hot shower and have thawed out a bit more...

Matt?/Jeff? I thought his name was Jeff but it could have been Matt. Whatever his name, he did a great job and definitly know his stuff. I won't mention where I bought my road bike (another Atlanta shop) but the difference is night and day.

I'll be taking my road bike back to all3sports to get it fitted in a few months (maybe for my birthday).

Anyway, I ended up getting the Caliente: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp...

I made it this morning but ran a little late. I didn't get to Floyd road until 10:35 so I assumed I was either too late or it was too cold. Anyway.............I froze my off! Good news is that I completed the ride without a collision with a small child.
