Is it just me? I have been thinking since we had above average temps for most of December and January and now that it has turned cold it may remain cold for a while. I don't like the idea of doing the MAP race in 32 degree weather.

Positive thoughts, Willie... Positive thoughts.

Think Warm!!!

Luckily for me, this is my first tri and my only goal is to finish happy. (yeah I do have a time target, but even that is conservative) Assuming I'll be MOP to BOP I won't mind taking an extra minute or two in T1 to get some cold gear on.

Yeah, i've kind of thought about what happens if the weather is cold. I'm thinking long T1 to get dry and extra layers on. Other than that, cold is ok as long as the roads are dry.

Yeah, if it's really cold then most everyone will take the extra time to dress in T1. At Pinehurst last year, it was 50 and drizzling and most everyone put on extra clothes. Of course, at a race you're never as cold as you would be otherwise so don't over-dress.

The last time I raced MAP it was 49 degrees at race time. I put on arm warmers in t1 and I was fine for the rest of the race (temperature-wise, anyway).

I'm hoping for a 50+ degree morning since they moved the race so early in march. But it could be 30 or 60 -- just don't let it rain.
