Went to get fitted for my 06 Seduza at all3sports. As we start talking Jeff, fitter there, askes me how tall I am. 6'0-6'1" I answer. He says, hmmm, you look shorter (talk about how to win friends).

So we measure me. He says I'm 5'10.5". All this time, I thought I was 6'1".

So the bad news is that the large Seduza they have waiting for me won't fit and there are no more mediums. Honest mistake as my wife was the one who originally put the money down on the Seduza. She would have told them I'm 6'1". We even went into all3sports to schedule my fit a few weeks ago and they said a large would be fine.

He asks me what I want to do. I say, what are my options. He comes back with an 06 Caliente. Story on that bike is that it was used by one of the all3sports pros for 6 months. He tells me he'll cut me a deal that is too good to pass up. It's got some scratchs on it but these don't bother me. After all, I put a huge stratch on my Raliegh in the first month I owned it (laid it on top of my floor pump by mistake in the back of my Mountaineer). I am hard on stuff (go through a cell phone a year).

I agree to the deal and we move on to the fit.

40 mins later, I am out the door.

That bike is crazy. I can't wait to ride it.

The kicker though is that my wife claims she is 5'10" and I know she is 3" shorter than me. When I told her this, she said I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. LOL

Only bad news is I can no longer claim I'm 6'1".

How much did the Caliente cost you and did it have the deep dish race wheels on it?

I'd rather not say on price. I wouldn't want someone to walk in there demanding the same deal. I will say that I could sell that bike right now and make a ton of money off it (above what I paid for it).

No race wheels either. It has FSA RD 200 which most consider a training wheel. These are fine by me. I already have too much bike for my tri experience. Plus between my mountain bike, road bike and now tri bike (which where all purchased in the last 6 months), my wife won't let me by anything else.

I am looking into buying an '06 Caliente. I'm looking to buy it off the internet. I'm 6'0 ft w/ 32'' inseam. I was going to order a large, but do you think I am on the boarderline of a medium?

I still don't 100% believe that I am 5'10.5".

So, I am 6' and have a 32" inseam also. My road bike is a medium 57". My mountain bike is a medium. And now my tri bike is a medium.

If I where you, I would go with a medium.

Well actually, 5'11 & 3/4's without shoes. Close enough to 6'ft. This is accurate b/c it is what height I have been at every Doctors visit since I can remember. To bad QR doesn't make Medium/Large. That would make it much easier.

That is wierd that your Road bike is a Medium and 57cm. A medium Caliente is 53cm and a large is 56.5cm. I don't know that much about road bikes and if they fit different, but I would think you would need a 56.5cm. However, I would go with what the person who sized you suggested.

Hey, I'm 5'10 and my Raleigh is a XXL (yeah, that hurts). I'm jealous. I've got total bike envy.

My wife measured me last night. 5'11.5".

I agree on the med/lg. That would have been a perfect fit.
