At least when you go last, there aren't hundreds of people passing you along the way and you actually get to do some passing.

Is it me or do those waves just make no sense? I mean ... oldest to youngest? Everyone but the last wave is going to get passed all day. Maybe that's the point? But, yeah, hate waiting until the last wave to start. *grumble*

Exact opposite start as last year other than elites and all the 50+ started with Cyldes/Athenas next. Maybe I'll switch to AG as it won't matter. I liked for the first time every I saw all my friends finish last year.

But starting last I have many more to hunt down on the bike

I could be one of the last 10 folks out on the bike, but I'm sure w/o bike issues I won't be one of the last 10 back from the bike.

Screws up my warm up a bit too as they might not let me take my bike out....hmmm

swadland - 2007-08-07 3:59 PM The day before Cranberry my family and I have been invited to a clambake at a friend's house in Falmouth, but it's not until 5:00pm so I'm not sure if I'm going to attend. I'm spending the night at a relative's house in Bridgewater, but keep me posted on the Saturday night plans and I may be able to catch up with you all.

Better bring it anyway . . . always better to be safe than sorry and it can always be used to chill the beer.

No beer for Hudnick. He has to drive home and after IMUSA I don't know if I trust him to be well hydrated.

I'll drink the beer for him and he can have water.

I will confirm on the 2 tents as long as I can get some help lumping them in from the car before the race. I would like to suggest the idea of keeping the tents down until the first racers are back since we have had wind trouble the last few years. How dose that sound?

I can help you with hauling the tents into your car.

Hopefully it'll be something hilarious so that when you guys see him you'll smile, he'll take a pic,  and you all will look like you enjoy this form of self-torture called triathlon!

OH Boy.....I'm afraid to find out though!

OMG I think he and tri_again's son Nick will be hanging out together. He better not bring little girl clothes for poor Nick to wear!

I should be able to make it to the dinner.

I'm up for carpooling with anyone to/from boston. I'll even drive if no one else volunteers, I can fit 3 others (4 if you wanna get cozy in the back seat).

Never mind... Those clothes probably wouldn't work out too well, now that you are running the 10k for Jorge!!!

Cranberry Waves:

  • 8:00AM: Wave 1 -- Open Men and Women
  • 8:05AM: Wave 2 -- Men 45 and over
  • 8:10AM: Wave 3 -- Men 35-44
  • 8:15AM: Wave 4 -- Men 34 and under
  • 8:20AM: Wave 5 -- Women 45 and over, Collegiates
  • 8:25AM: Wave 6 -- Women 35-44
  • 8:30AM: Wave 7 -- Women 34 and under
  • 8:35AM: Wave 8 -- Athena, Clydesdales, Relay Teams

Interestingly enough, after all my whining about being in the last wave I checked the race web site, and I noticed that when I registered I naively put myself down as an AG, thinking that I would be under 200 pounds.  What the hell was I thinking!

But, now it means that I'm in Wave 3, so make sure y'all say hello as you pass by!

Cranberry Veterans,

Aside from checking in, is there anything to do at the race site on Saturday?  Depending on what is/isn't there, I'll gauge when to arrive.

Thanks!
