Comments: Decided to change my usual strategy of going easy at the start and increasing my effort during the race and went out strong and tried to hold as best I could. The course seemed to be more uphill than down and that took its toll after the first 5-miles. I had been holding a sub-7 minute pace until then, but then I started having abdominal cramps which slowed me to about 7:15-7:30 for the rest of the race. Wind was miserable, but there were a few spots that were actually pleasant. Post race
Warm down: stretching, pizza, bagel, water. What limited your ability to perform faster: Adominal cramps, ouch! Last updated: 2006-10-27 12:00 AM

The usual cereal and toast breakfast. Drove out the the High School and managed to beat the crowd. Tinkered with the Garmin a little to get the display just right.
Light jog out and back on the final mile of the course, then back inside to shed a few layers and stretch.
