WOO HOO! Tyler Hamilton took the gold and Bobby Julich the bronze in the men's time trials! It's a great year for US cycling. Tyler's from Boulder, so of course I had to root for my neighbor.

And all this time I believed the local New England media when they told me he was from Massachusetts!

(Funny how any place that *can* claim a sports figure as 'local' will, eh?)

Actually, he lives part-time in Spain, I think, trains part time in Boulder. He may well have been born in MA. I just think it's a well-deserved win, after having to drop out of the TdF.
