Okay so I haven't been keeping up with the forums well - didn't I join this group to continue the Tri'ing for Weight-loss?

I apologize for sounding a bit confused.

I did weigh myself this morning - I am down another pound to 162 lbs.

I think would have been more but I recently chowed down on some good steak and a burgers this past weekend. I am NOT an avid red meat eater, but I love grilled steaks that are marinaded overnight - woohoo.

Okay getting back to work.

Thanks.

What dblack means by "I can't weigh in" is that our bathroom is being retiled and our scale is piled up in the other room with all our other stuff. I didn't weigh in today, but unfortunately I did weigh in yesterday. I will just use that weight for my start of the new challenge, even though it wasn't pretty!!

Weight at end of 1rst challenge: 166.0

Starting weight 2-7: 168

Gain: 2 lbs since last challenge ended

OK, the Superbowl, cold weather (oh yeah, it's supposed to be 72 here today) hmmmm, let's see if I can think of any other excuses........OK, time to refocus! Glad we are starting a new challenge as I NEED it!

Goal for end of the challenge: 159.9...all I want to do is get into the 150's!

Good luck Team Skinny!

Jim, so where's your info? You started us off but how are things going for you? Hopefully better than they are for me.

Jill-

Set up the thread last night so didn't have any data.  Stepped on the scale and I am down 0.4 pounds to 192.4.  Going to be a slow road....

Last week-247.
This week-246

Worked my butt off this last week, but weight loss is slowing. Guess I'm starting to plateau a bit.

Got a cold, too. Can anyone recommend any good day-time TV?

Hi all,

As of this morning I am at 148.5. I had a really tough beginning of the week and weekend, but have been much better the last couple of days. If I can keep up the more recent trend I am confident that number will fall by next week.

Good Morning,

Not much happening here as far as the scale is concerned, but with the way that I've been eating, I'm not gonna complain.

Last week: 147
This week: 146.8

I hope everyone has a great week.

::WAH::

today's weight: 152.  I think I was at 150 last week.  For me, it was WAY too many carbs on Super Bowl Sunday and I have not been very diligent in logging my calories.  I'm back on the path today and started logging again.  One of my goals for February is to log EVERYTHING I eat.

I feel your pain ELEKTRA.

I was the exact same way. I pigged out like mad on Sunday, and actually wasn't much better on Monday. Yesterday was my first semi-decent day. I am vowing right along with you to log EVERYTHING.

RESULTS:2/7/2007
Ending weight165.2
Beginning weight165.0
Weight change this week0.2
Total weight change0.2

Small gain so far, but since I was up as high as 168 this week, I'll take it.  I have a feeling I'm about to break through, and will be posting some better numbers next week.  This is the weight I was when I graduated college not that I wasn't fat then.

Maybe Sharon and Fone are onto something....let me offer up this as a consideration for the group....what if we ALL logged all of our food for the next week.  A minimum requirement of 7 days just to see what we are doing.  Then next Wednesday, we can let everyone know where our pitfalls are (with supporting data) and where things are working out well.  I know it is a time-consuming task but it might just be the ticket to moving towards our goals....I am in and will start immeidiately.

Seems like many of us had a pretty tough week. In some ways this week is logically harder than the holidays. We were psychologically prepared for the holidays, and had strategies with how to deal with them. I think at least for me I was not at all mentally prepared for the bingefest that the Super Bowl would bring with it.

Time to put the slip behind us, use food tracking as a tool if we want, and move forward proud of ourselves and our long term accomplishments.

We are all back on the wagon.

OK, I had a GREAT workout tonight and then went to the grocery store and bought some healthy foods to have on hand. I am mentally prepared as well and really hope to post a loss for next week!

I tried logging the food that I ate one time and I just got frustrated with it, how about if I just write down what I ate in my log? Will that work?  I think it is a good idea, I just don't want to use the nutrition deal where I have to search for all my foods and log them in.

Plus, if anyone stumbles upon a super simple low cal snack or meal to share with the group, that would be great. I am so often at a loss when I go to the grocery store.

Texmom, I do the same thing. I find that it helps to just write down everything I eat, and I don't necessarily need to actually keep track of the nutritional content at this point.

Healthy quick snack or lunch: I take a whole wheat pita cut it in half and stick it in the toaster to make it warm, then in each side I put 1 slice of fat free turkey breast, salsa, 1 teaspoonful of hummus, and a squirt of honey mustard. Altogether it takes 3 minutes and is very satisfying.

Hey all,

I wasn't going to post as last week I was pretty sick Thurs - Sun (although I still managed to gorge myself on Sun). But, here it is anyway....

Start: 174.5
Now: 175
Total: +.5

Here's the way I see it, the superbowl is over. It's time to refocus. Take a moment to think about the best week you had during the 1st part of the winter challenge. What did you do? What worked? What did you use for motivation? If some technique, like logging your food, helped you, do it again. But most importantly, be honest with yourself.

As for me, I need to not drink alcohol on the weekdays (yes, I'm a lush). Also, I need to take snacks with me and stay the hell away from any place I can get my food without leaving my car (with the exception of the smoothie hut).

Also, I thought I saw someone asking about low-cal snacks? I like Clementine Mandrin Oranges and Tiger's Milk and/or Pria Bars (yeah, I'm a guy, but they pretty damn tasty).

Hey all, I couldnt remember if this is the group i joined or not so I apologize if I have made a mistake. Anyways my weigh in yesterday should have been 207 lbs. I think I wa at 209 last week, but positive. Glad to see my weightloss starting back again. Probably would do better however if I ate more. What a weird twist from eating too much huh.
