Sunny
Total Time = 39m 6s
Overall Rank = 208/299
Age Group = F25-29
Age Group Rank = 16/28
Pre-race routine:

i woke up two hours before race time and had a big ol' bowl of oatmeal with raisins and about half a liter of water. Visited with my parents since i got in last night at just about my bedtime.
Event warmup:

To and from the car to drop off my t-shirt. Stood around and talked to two of my aunts and one of my uncles.
Run
  • 39m 6s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 12m 34s  min/mile
Comments:

i was overdressed for a hard run. i was wearing the right amount of clothing for a leisurely jog, but not so much when i was trying my hardest to keep up my pace.

i think maybe i shouldn't trying to run LT tests when it's quite so cold outside. It's four hours later, and i'm still hacking. Stupid asthma.
What would you do differently?:

i would wear one fewer shirt (!) and not go out so fast. The second thing is the most critical.
Post race
Warm down:

Standing around and drinking hot chocolate while trying to keep my lungs in my chest cavity.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training and asthma.

Event comments:

Any race that gives out wax-covered hunks of cheese shaped like lips can't be bad, right?
