Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to say hello. I have been looking at the site the last couple days and it is really cool. I really like the training logs! I have a couple friends who recently has started doing marathons...that much running is not my thing so I decided to try my hand at a tri. I have always been really active - I was a hockey player in college. I signed up for my first race which will be a sprint in April.

Ditto on the welcome. Iwas raised in Northern Ontario - hockey was our life! Been away from it for years - but players who spent 45 - 60 min on the ice have the endurancee thing down! You will do great. Keep us posted.

ditto here - played tons of hockey in TO growing up and also in college - youll be dialed for cycling and youve prob done a lot of running and lifting during the summers so youre used to the intensity. an athlete is an athlete and if youre an athlete youll begin to love tri's really quick bc 3 sports takes a lot of the monotony out of working out. you might want to trim down the upper body a bit - fortunately running and swimming will really help to reduce the bulk from years of lifting so your muscles will get really lean - good luck!
