Pre-race routine:

Tried to stay warm, it was cold!!! My off time wasn't until 9:45 so I had some time to watch the early riders go off.
Event warmup:

Spun on the trainer for 20 minutes or so with some hard efforts. My legs were sore for some reason.

Comments:

I still can't decide if I am happy with this or not. Initially I was disappointed because I really thought I could go under 25 minutes, but given the conditions I suppose I should be happy.
What would you do differently?:

Warm up a little better, I probably should have spent 40 minutes or so on the trainer to get truly warmed up prior to the start.
Post race
Warm down:

Rolled out and spun for about 15 minutes opposite the race on the trail.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough miles in the saddle this year and the fact that my new bike isn't exactly dialed in yet.

Event comments:

Surgesports does a great job of putting this event on. Everything was on time and there were plenty of volunteers to make it go off without a hitch.

Nicely done ... given how cold it was that morning, not sure if you could have ever warmed your legs up enough

Nice work, Brett! When you get that fast rocketship dialed in I don't think there will be anyone around here that will catch you!
