Comments: I still can't decide if I am happy with this or not. Initially I was disappointed because I really thought I could go under 25 minutes, but given the conditions I suppose I should be happy. What would you do differently?: Warm up a little better, I probably should have spent 40 minutes or so on the trainer to get truly warmed up prior to the start. Post race
Warm down: Rolled out and spun for about 15 minutes opposite the race on the trail. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough miles in the saddle this year and the fact that my new bike isn't exactly dialed in yet. Event comments: Surgesports does a great job of putting this event on. Everything was on time and there were plenty of volunteers to make it go off without a hitch. Last updated: 2007-02-05 12:00 AM

Tried to stay warm, it was cold!!! My off time wasn't until 9:45 so I had some time to watch the early riders go off.
Spun on the trainer for 20 minutes or so with some hard efforts. My legs were sore for some reason.
