Total Time = 1h 45m 4s
Overall Rank = 123/144
Age Group = 30-39
Age Group Rank = 21/28
Pre-race routine:

get race packet, try not to fall on my a$$ with all the ice on the ground. Said hello to people. Got back in the car to warm up. Ran to the porta johns and got to the start line with less than one minute to spare
Event warmup:

short run to the start line!
Run
  • 1h 45m 18s
  • 10 miles
  • 10m 32s  min/mile
Comments:

Ran with Mel the first 3 miles. 5 mile split was about 51 minutes. The end of the course is where the hills were and the MAJOR headwind.
What would you do differently?:

be faster. :) Actually I'm pretty pleased. I had a baby 7 months ago which has slowed my pace significantly, but I'm rebuilding.
Post race
Warm down:

Hung out with serrotta, Sergeant Vik, devotchkatata, DickDime, RidgeRunner, and markdills38. Changed clothes, stretched a little.

Event comments:

Next time I'll stick around for the raffle. Apparently both my name AND Mark's name were called for a pair of sneakers, but we weren't there :(

Good race.

Ah it was only a pair on sneakers!  Who cares, the big thing is that you were out there running hard.  Great job!  Thanks for letting me get warm in your car  before the race!

Very good time! Sounds like the headwind was an issue as well. We had some MAJOR headwind in our race yesterday, thank goodness most of it didn't start until the end. However, we did NOT have any ice. It was in the 60's here so the temp was wonderful.

Yeah chica!!

I think your time was amazing!! It is winter running...always slower due to crapola footing and cold legs

No snowstorms this time, though?
