Pre-race routine:

Woke up around 6:30am, got dressed and left the house with my wife to drive to Hyannis. Stopped at Dunkin' Donuts along the way for a bagel for breakfast. Once I got to the race site, I changed and then called c2fd to find out where they were. Headed over the the hotel where the race was held.
Event warmup:

No real warmup, other than hanging around inside the hotel trying to stay warm. Just before the race started, we headed outside and hooked up with a bunch of other BTers who were racing.

Comments:

For my first ever 10K, I thought that the run was pretty good. I started out a little too fast, so I decided to take a few walk breaks along the way. But, whenever I stopped running and started walking my lower legs hurt, so I just kept running, but at a somewhat slower pace. Overall, though, I did much better than I had planned.
What would you do differently?:

Start out a little slower.
Post race
Warm down:

After finishing, I went straight to my car to get a warm jacket to put on, and to take off my running gear (MP3 player, hydration belt, GPS/HRM). I then went back to the finish to wait for my wife, who ran the 1/2 marathon (in 1:45:58). We then headed inside to warm up and get some food.

After leaving the hotel, a bunch of BTers headed over to the British Beer Company for some well-deserved food and beverages.
