First ride of 2007 scheduled for 3/10. If you're interested, PM me. Meanwhile I attach a map of the route which is the course for the Endurosport Mini and HIM, 2 & 4 loops respectively. (It's also used for the NYTC sprints, just in the opposite direction).

Until Exit 16 on the Northbound Palisades Pwky is opened we will be meeting at the parking lot at Tiaroti Circle (see #3 on the map). Here are the directions from the south:

Take the Palisades north to the Route 6 Traffic Circle (it's a left exit after the Anthony Wayne Rec Area, I believe #18 (note the pkwy actually divides - bear LEFT - DO NOT go right towards BEAR Mountain)

You'll enter the traffic circle at 6 o'clock and exit at 9 o'clock onto Seven Lakes Drive. Follow to the Tiaroti Traffic Circle. In at 6 out at 3, parking lot is on left.

If you're coming from Rt 17 you can just get on Seven Lakes Drive in Sloatsburg and take it all the way through the park to Tiaroti.

File was to big. You'll find it here:

confirming 3/10. ready to ride at 12:30 at Tiorati Circle. weather looks good. 3 loops - 42 miles. Refuel after the 2nd loop . Bring your sneakers just in case we get the urge for a little BRICK Undecided

so far, me, jmf-tt & mforger18

This wb a fun, easy (well as easy as Harriman can be) ride. With little to no traffic as a large portion of the loop is still closed to cars. Actually to us too, but riding around the barriers is part of the fun!

Never actually went up to Harriman State park before. I heard it's a great loop to ride though. I'm definatley interested in going up for a few training rides. I'm about an hour away being from Long Island, but would like to go up on a weekend I'm not working. I'll probably post another message when I have a weekend that works for me and hopefully the weather improves around here.

The ice has melted, the barriers are supposed to come down, the forecast calls for temps in the 60's and, most importantly, my wife said I cud go Smile

Next ride - Saturday, 3/31. Time: sometime b4 noon (tbd). Distance: 3 - 4 loops ( 42 or 56 miles).  Pace: faster than last week (but that aint sayin much). Figure 55 mins per loop (16 mph) give or take.

The road barriers are supposed to come down by the weekend.  That wud only impact the driving directions and meeting place. I rode there last weekend and, while inconvenient, we can ride around them if they are still up. I will know by Friday.

Post here or pm me if you are interested.

Right now, I have off Saturday. I was actually going to PM you to see if you wanted to ride. Hopefully the barriers will be down and we could get some good loops.

Road Barriers are coming down as I type this!!!

This makes meeting easier and riding faster! WOOHOO.

Time and meeting place change for 3/24 ride.

1 pm (ride starts) at the dirt road at the end of Lake Welch Drive.

Dude I needed you. Got my handed to me. To date my best ride was w/ you. Schedule gets crazy but we need to get back there before the race. In the meantime I need to ride some flat terrain to get my confidence back !
