Subject: flexibility in mary training question? I'm kicking around the idea of trying for a fall marathon (for no reason other than when I run I'm happy and have excessive time for thinking )...
Anyway, I have the # of hours available for training (just to finish ), but my free time this summer/fall doesn't always fall on Saturday/Sunday (or on any given day for that matter ).
Can I train, doing my long runs on Friday one week, Saturday the next week, Wednesday the week after that, etc? Or am I just going to hurt myself? What is the minimum time I'll need between long runs - the plan I'm looking at does long runs weekly until 15 or 16 miles and then bi-weekly I think.
Maybe I should stop thinking while I run.
