Just registered for High Cliff but now i'm second guessing myself - will i need a wetsuit in late june - seems like things should be warm in June but i don't swim in open water much to know for sure....

also the website doesn't talk about race meetings but i'm assuming they'll be the night before..

any insights appreciated

Thxs

Did the sprint last year - didnt wear a wetsuit- doing t he Half this year- will be wearing a wetsuit.  The lake is shallow- therefore pretty warm- you will be fine without one.

I also did the sprint last year and an doing the half this year. No wet suit is needed for the sprint.

Looks like a few BT'ers are doing the race so we should plan a BT get together. I'll volunteer my campsite the day before : )

Yup, what they said.  The lake is pretty large, but I think its only like 15ft at its deepest so it warms up pretty quickly.

of course, if you are like me and a disaster in the water, a wetsuit helps no matter what.

I think the park still has camping spots available. There are a few motels south of the park, but they did not look too good. Your best bet would be a hotel in Neenah, which is about 15 minutes from the park.

I know a few BTers are camping at HighCliff- should be a gret time. I love this park!!
