Comments: Course started off slightly downhill so first mile was a little fast. It wasn't too crowded so I was able to settle into a comfortable pace from the start. Was running alone between miles 2 and 4 with 2 big groups in front and behind me. At mile 5 caught up to the group in front and pulled alongside a group of 3 from the local racing club. Turns out oen of them is doing Wildflower and the other has done 1 of the tri for fun races in Pleasanton. Paced with them quite a while until mile 11 then decided to take off. Everyone was spread out at the end so I couldn't outkick anyone to the finish, didn't have anything left in the tank to do it anyways, so I just cruised in. What would you do differently?: another PR so I'd have to say nothing at all :) ![]() Post race
Warm down: grabbed some water and a couple of bannanas What limited your ability to perform faster: my weight no hill training no long run over 10 miles Event comments: challenging course not bad as it was the first running of the race. could have used porta potties along the course.
