Comments:

I was supossed to have a 2hr run tomorrow, plus it was a good cause and everyone else was doing it and I'm nothing if not a follower. My training run called for, based on HR or RPE or pace, 30' easy, 30' harder, 30' harder, 30' easy but not as easy as the 1st. I recently had a trainng run where I went at 9:20 mile at z1/2 so I figured I would start there except it didn't work out that way. My HR was high within 1/2 mile although my pace felt fairly easy. I tried to slow it down a bit but I could only get myself to slow down so much so I wnet by RPE. Stopped for the bathroom at mile 2 (not included in my time) but it was fine otherwise. By the end of the hardest effort section my legs were really feeling it and it would have been difficult to push that pace for a whole lot longer, but once I settled into the easier pace I was ok. Had a gu before the start, one around 50 minutes and one at 1:30 and my stomach was mostly fine with them although I found out I need to pay attention at the water stops to not gulp down too fast.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, really. I could maybe have been a little more patient at the beginning pace wise.
Post race
Warm down:

Met up with a bunch of other BT'ers which was cool, had a beer & some food & then took the train back to the start.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much, it was a training run (in name anyway).
