  • 1315 yards
  • 02m 01s / 100 yards
Comments:

Chilly start.ot bad chop but raining steadily-poor visibility Water temp ok
What would you do differently?:

be a better swimmer!
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

transitions included in time- all gear was wet-pouring-but went ok though it took too long to do shoes & shorts due to wet & sand..also, minimal access from beach to get to t area
What would you do differently?:

practice t1 and refine a bit...
Bike
  • 1h 03m 55s
  • 15 miles
  • 14.08 mile/hr
Comments:

not enough experience to go all out on slick roads w/ no visibility.nervous in traffic and on downhills,turns....
did better than thought i could on steep uphills.....
What would you do differently?:

stop the rain and close the course to traffic!!!!
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

someone had racked in my spot-threw me off balance- forgt to drink -helmet/glasses off, number & hat on went ok,but i turned back to get a drink..then changed my mind agin so wasted time.
Run
  • 41m 13s
  • 4.2 miles
  • 09m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

hilly. airport section NOT fun- rutted, with lots of mud & pddles in the grass, could probably have gone at faster pace but ws running with guy who was struggling a bit -kept each other company
What would you do differently?:

push harder- pick a traget runner to overtake
Post race
Warm down:

minimal walk around

What limited your ability to perform faster:

WEATHER and not knowing if the increase in distance over sprint would be a big factor

Event comments:

concerns for safety on the bike & run portions. distance is a little odd- more than a sprint, less than an oly.....tough coure in that really very little flat. small field (max 325) is a plus. would have liked to know transition times

Congrats on finishing the race!  And that's a good run time too, I'd be happy with that for my run.  It's always rough in rainy weather, but it shows you have determination...way to go!
