Subject: Real Time WWCOJD?

I've had my running gear on for about an hour but haven't left the house for my planned four miler.  I was totally excited to run when I went to the Y at lunch, but that plan went up in smoke when I found that my running shoes were not with me...  I have embraced the fact that I'm not running tonight and warmed up some left over pasta.  Now, what should I do to be productive tonight?  Two options:  Work on content for my web site in prep for a meeting on Friday, or work on preparing the walls in my office for paint.  Web site has been put off for a couple months.  So has office.  I promised myself I would have the web site content done about a week ago.  Self imposed deadline for office is three weeks from now, and it will be quite a bit of work.  That copy of What It Takes that came in the mail today is calling my name too...

So.  What would Cup Of Joe do?

You guys rule for the quick responses.  But, you missed that part about heating pasta, which is now in my belly!  I should have asked earlier.  Seriously.  Argh.  So, zero votes for working on the office.  Looks like working on web site with run tomorrow.   I have a 7 a.m. meeting tomorrow, so I'm going to run after that (packing gym bag WITH shoes tonight).  Probably swimming after work tomorrow.  That way I don't actually miss a workout, just move it back a day.

Are we cool?

psycofish - 2007-04-03 8:45 PM it depends on what color you are going to paint the office....

Yeah, that's a whole 'nother issue.  I have primer and ceiling paint ready to go, so I'll get that far and then pick a color.  There was hideous blue wallpaper in there before, and the wall is in pretty rough shape behind it.  Gotta do some prep work to the plaster before priming.

sigh....  i've run after venti lattes with blueberry scones..  and after steak dinners with veggies and potatos..  it teaches you to get your run in for the day BEFORE you eat

ok..  run tomorrow.. but if you don't you'll have to answer to the crazy redhead...

I can't imagine a latte-blueberry scone burp tasted very good.  I had pesto pasta w/chicken.  Pesto is NOT good a second time...

Try running while hung over.  Or better yet, still inebriated.

Longest mile of my life. The first post-drinking morning of my bachelor party weekend, a buddy of mind decided a run would "flush out the toxins." Well, I guess if he meant copious amounts of vomiting, then yes.

And Peter -

GO RUN!

And there it is.  I did an extra .5 mile as punishment for being unmotivated last night.

i still think you should of had to do the run on a full stomach...  that will teach you

btw - lattes curdle in your stomach from all the milk..  running after a latte is like running with a solid chunk of spoiled milk in your stomach..

I can't imagine the latte would stay in the stomache for too long!!
