Pre-race routine:

Had some PB and Honey for breakfast and went to catch the train to take me downtown. Forgot to have my Clif Bar on the train....oh well.
Got to the race about 40mins before and walked to the starting area. With 54k people, it was a mad house! Found out where I had to enter the starting area, luckily I was in the first group of only 700 people so it made it a little easier.
Event warmup:

About 15 mins of light jogging with a few short accelerations thrown in there. It was only a 10k so I wasn't too worried.

Comments:

I ran it pretty good. I wasn't training for a fast 10k since I'm looking more towards a half marathon for the HIM in July. It was a good test of fitness though. A lot of good people run it so it was great to have lots of people pushing me, and cheering from the sidelines.
What would you do differently?:

I need to train on hills a bit more to keep up my energy in the last km or two. Work a bit more on speed if I want to be faster in the 10k.
Post race
Warm down:

Light stretching and walking around. Drank lots of water since I didn't want to slow down for some on the course.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Felt my legs in the last km or two, maybe a bit of lack of energy or not training for that fast - probably a combination.

Event comments:

Good race, lots of people, I'd do it again.

Performance: Good
Course: Started flat then a gradual downhill. Went along Stanley Park and then along Beach Ave. which follows along the ocean - all fairly flat. Up a fairly steep hill and then over a major bridge which was the only hard part of the course - at about 5-6k mark. At 9k it was back over another bridge, but an easier one this time and then down to the finish line.
