Yeah, I'm so distracted I'm wasting all kinds of time at work thinking about the race and spending hours during the day on the web looking at BT, ST, Timberman, Ironman, etc. They should really block all the tri websites at work to keep my my productivity up. Wait....I'm the boss....I could do that! |

Veteran 249 Long Island, NY | Subject: RE: Timberman - Half Iron Did a swim at Elacoya early this morning. Water felt pretty warm compared to ocean back at home. There were a few local triathletes swimming as well and stated the water should be calm at race start (started my swim at about 8:30 and water was pretty choppy...local triathletes said later waves might have to deal with it, but normally lake is pretty calm). Regular 1025 | Subject: RE: Timberman - Half Iron lake's usually really calm in the am, gets choppy later due to boat traffic. Last year was the exception. The front came in, which made for a miserable day, weather-wise. Quite a bit of chop. We've been down there swimming in the early am, and it's been glass It's normal to be excited about the race. I know we are!!!!!! Truly, seeing everyone down there training every weekend gets us fired up. I usually run down to the park every weekend, just to see how many people are down there. It's pretty inspiring to us, to see how important the race is to everyone.... Good luck to all!!!!! |

To have a class organization such as EnduroFun organizing races in the New England area is like gold for the local endurance community. BTW: Can I have "ShowMeURT!ts" as my race bib name?

The aid stations for the the run are pretty well stocked with just about everything you need to get through. I don't think they carry lava salts......but I don't think a special needs bag is needed. |

May I suggest Camp (in Meredith, Exit 23 off of 93), 20 minutes from Ellacoya (from the park), you take 11B through Weirs Beach/Laconia up to Rt.3 in Meredith. http://www.thecman.com/Menus/CMP/CMP_Dinner.pdf (or) closer to Ellacoya (12 minutes), but missing the fun atmosphere and menu, Fratello's in Laconia http://www.fratellos.com/dinner.htm Discuss... |

Veteran 249 Long Island, NY | Subject: RE: Timberman - Half Iron Did a swim at 7:30 this morning. Lake was flat and calm. Spoke to a few triathletes who were also swimming and once again all I heard was great things about the race. I have never been to any other race and heard so many people speak so highly of an event. I really can't wait to Sunday. Good Luck To All and have a great time. |
