Comments: The race went well. It was a tough race. Most of the hills weren't a problem, but the last hill at the end of the race was a killer. It just seemed to go on forever!! Just when I thought I was finally to the top the road turned and it kept going up. My Garmin was being repaired, so I was just wearing a watch. I had no idea what my pace was while I was running or my heartrate. I was just going on feel. I didn't see any mile markers either to figure my pace. I just kept running and hoped I was keeping a good pace. What would you do differently?: Nothing. It was a good race. Post race
Warm down: I walked from the finish line back to the registration area (where they had drinks and food). I walked around a bit while eating and drinking. Then I did some stretching while waiting for the awards to begin. Last updated: 2007-04-23 12:00 AM

I woke up at 6am and had my typical pre-race meal of bagel w/ peanut butter and a banana. Got dressed and left at 6:30 for the drive to Raleigh.
We arrived at the race site at 8am (race start was 9:00). I checked in, got my race bag, race number, and timing chip. At 8:30 I ran for about 15 minutes then did some stretching.
