Subject: Legal aero helmet?
Yesterday at the PlayTri half IM race I noticed an elite that wore a Bell Meteor II and another elite that wore the Giro Advantage aero helmet.

Are they allowed to be worn in triathlons here even though you can't buy them in the U.S. yet?

USA cycling now recognizes this and other Europeans standard helmets.

You can get the helmet here - I guess it's about a week in shipping.

USAT rules only say it has to “meet or exceed the safety standards of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)."  I wouldn’t know how to go about proving that, unless it has a label to that affect.
