I still cannot do my running until I get the sports bra and proper footwear (hopefully in the next two weeks). But my goal for this week is 50 miles on the bike, and at least an hour swimming( I need to locate a pool close by). My walking goal is 10 miles.

I want to join you all. I do not have a race scheduled for this year as I am healing (for too long now) plantar fasciitis and cannot run. The chiropractor who is treating me with ART is "allowing" me to now walk for 35-40 minutes on soft terrain no more than 3 times a week. In addition, I am retiring from work this year and my partner and I will be doing a two month vacation, part of which will be 2 weeks of biking in New Brunswick Canada. I know this is more information than anyone wants to know, but I'm making my case for no race this year... ;'-)

My goals for next week (4/29-5/5):

Swim 3 times for one hour each

Walk 3 times for 35-40 minutes each (depending on pain)

Bike or Spin 2 times at least an hour each

Yoga one time for an hour

Strength train 2 times (once upper body, once lower body)

Find a day to rest!

Thanks for doing this Susie I think it is something I need! I don't really keep track on the training log here and don't know if that is necessary for this challenge?

Nancy

This week:
Swim x 3 (one of the sessions 3k m)
Bike x2
Core x 1
*Find something positive to say about each workout!

No running this week, I hurt my leg the other day and need to rest it for a long (for me) road ride this weekend.

Did not make my goal last week - ok on the biking and swimming nada on the running - and now I'm not feeling so good (got a cold)  so I'll do something this week but it's going to depend on how I feel.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Holy moley, this must be another build week for me...

3x swim -- 45 min (2000), 1h10min (3100), 1h (3100)

3x ride -- 70 min, 90 min, and a long 210 min (3h30min)

3 x run -- 45 min, 60 min, 90 min

plus 2 strength sessions for legs and back, 3 for abs/core, and yoga on Sunday (at least 20 mins or I get crazy stiff!)

I think I'm gonna have to be happy if I get 2 of 3 on the run and swim, and 2 of 3 hours on that long ride.

Train hard, rest harder, right ladies?   Have a great week!

Thanks soooo much for starting this thread for us Athenas. I hope to stay inspired by the rest of you ladies. My week is over-the-top already with 56 hours to work, flipping all 3 shifts (thank you), all-day trip to Vicksburgh with #2 son, and all-day trauma course to teach on Sun. Very simple goal...work out 4 times this week fitting in what I can juggle. Lead on girls, I'm drafting you.

These women are truly inspirational. Still working on getting a place to swim, but today I did get my running shoes, and placed my order for my industrial strength sports bra.

It is a lovely Maine day, so I did what came naturally, and rode 52.6 miles, pretty much most of it along the shoreline.

Tomorrow it is going to rain, so it's going to be a gym day, with some time jogging on the treadmill to get the feel of it again.

I swam today, but I lost count on laps. That happens when I have to share a lane at the pool. I also ran around the block a few times with my husband. And did situp work out.

Welcome on board all!

I am putting together the list of names for our first week of the challenge and will post it as soon as I can. Unfortunately I've been super busy at work lately but I'll get it to you gals soon.

Hope everyone is well on their way to achieving their first week's goals. I know I thought about the challenge this morning when the alarm went off and forced myself to get out of bed.

Well, I'm feeling better.

My big goal for this week (anything else is gravy) is to do one of those 1/2 marathon thingies.

That's on Saturday - and if I finish that - I'll have hit my goal.

Goal 1: finish

Goal 2: Finish in under 3:30 (I SHOULD be able to do this)

Goal 3: Finish in under 3:15 - would be a PB for this distance, but realistically, don't think I can make this happen.

I am getting nervous... what was I THINKING signing up for this thing?

the other day I ran 1.5 miles, did some upper body lifting, and some sit-ups. Today will be walking around at my job. I'm pulling a double shift today, so the time I usually hit a workout, I'll be taking a nap to get ready for my next shift. But walking is good too.

Rode 20 miles today, with a wicked 25-30 mph head wind most of the way. I called the local YMCA and found that it costs $10 per day to use their pool! So that is going to keep my time in the water to about 2x per week. The sports bra should be here soon, so then I hit the road. And I am doing strength training at least three days per week.

Whew!

OK, here is the code for the table. Sorry for the delay. If anyone has any problems, let me know. Sorry it's not alphabetical, but I'm too rusty at HTML to coordinate that.

Susie, thanks for organizing this and making the table; it makes it much easier to inspire each other. Halfway through my workout week (Mon-Sun) and I am on track with my workouts; unfortunately I have a 65 mile bike and a 9 mile run to get done this weekend; wish me luck.

WAy cool!! I have posted my week so far. There is not a place for Yoga, so I put it under strength training -- which it doesn't look like I will be getting to this week!!!

Recap goals: swim x3; bike x2; walk x3; strength x2; yoga x1; rest somewhere!

I won't make strength this week, and probably not a rest day although I kind of think of yoga as rest if I don't do something else that day (this week I walk and yoga same day)

Thanks again for doing this.

Way to go!  You can actually log yoga as a sport...look in the list of sports and yoga should be in there.  It will show up as "sport" time on your graph but on your time for the month thing and in your log it will list it as yoga.
