I'm going to do a loop or two of the Ironhead Tri-Historic bike look Saturday morning if anyone would like to join in. Here is a map of the 15 mile loop.

I'm not going to make this ride, but figured I give a friendly reminder that after this weekend, the entry fee goes up from $50 to $60.

Just wondering if you did ride the course this past weekend and what you thought about it. I'm still contemplating doing this one. I guess I need to make up my mind soon.

It's hilly (compared to anything in this area) and on rough roads. There are several steep downhills that end in really sharp turns and on that ends in a sharp turn with loose gravel. It's scenic though bc 90% of the ride is through farmland and coming back to the school is a nice long downhill that will produce very fast speeds. If you're iffy about doing the race, I would just go out and ride the course and see how you like it.

Thanks for the description.  I went ahead and signed up last night, so I'll try to ride the course this coming weekend.

Thanks for the info.

Rough roads, sharp turns, loose gravel.... doesn't sound to appealing to me. I'll probably go and take a look at it before I decide.

Drove the route this morning...seems kind of scary with all the rough roads, loose dogs, turns, more rough roads. How was it to ride??? Anybody have any comments?...I need to make up my mind soon about signing up or not.

Hmmm....I was planning on doing this race.  Maybe I should go check out this course before I sign up.

No, no.. you should definitely sign up.  I'm gonna want a doctor nearby when I skid out on one of those turns.

Actually, I joking, as I haven't even seen the course yet.  Was hoping to ride it this weekend, but bagged my ride to not take time away from Beth on Mother's day.
