Comments:

Well now I've gone and done it set the bar high at the start of the season. This is my person best. Started at front of line. Followed Kam out for a while. She lost about 3/4 mile out. Chad got ahead of me at the start. First mile 7:24. One of my best, especially uphill. Second a 7:42. Caught Chad and ran close for a 1/2 or so. Knew KenJ was back there stalking me. As I turn the last corner to the final stretch he pulled up next to me. We ran togather for 1/2 or so pushing each other. The last half of mile with my right shoe untied. He pulled a ahead some and finished 7 seconds ahead. Good work Ken.
What would you do differently?:

Tight shoes tighter and wear tek shirt. Little hot in cotton long sleeves. Glad I had shorts on.
Post race
Warm down:

Met Y and Will, cheering me on. Walked and got water. Stretched calves as the right one was tightening up. Got some more water and banana and coffee. Got my right calf rubbed out by the chiropactor. Felt good still tight though.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Untied shoe.

Event comments:

Thanks Y and Will for coming out this early sunday morning. Glad to see Kam32, Ken and Chad. This race is one of the best organized around, I feel.

Fantastic Dex! That is smokin' fast!!! What a great job. Hey, ever consider getting those stretchy laces for your shoes? I love mine. That way you don't have to mess with untied shoes!!!!

I'm impressed and proud of you!
