Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 4.10 am to Chap's coffee (ummmmmm). Ate a cup of Gatorade, one boiled egg and a bagel with peanut butter. Got dressed and out the door. Found a great parking spot on the east side of Broadway right on the race course. It was the greatest parking spot ever created.
Event warmup:

Stretched then stretched with Leslie and Emily. Hit the pottie about seven times prior to the start.

Comments:

Had an upset belly and the start of a migraine which I mentally willed away during the race. Had fun and didn't try to worry too much about going faster or watching the Garmin. I really had fun. Ran with Emily which helped keep me going. Chatted with other runners.
What would you do differently?:

Not have an upset belly or migraine. Otherwise, I can't think of anything. My race clothes were perfect and my shoes felt good.
Post race
Warm down:

Ate banana and some water. Then the banana upset my belly. Then I switched to vanilla wafers and Poweraid and some oranges.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I had to stop at the bathroom once during the race. I can't complain about my speed, my goal was 02:30:00 and I beat it!

Event comments:

The most important thing was I had a good time which was my goal...along with running the entire distance and finishing in 02:30:00 or less.
