I've finally found a replacement for The O.C.

ooh - and I just realized it's on Thursday night too - this can't be a coincidence!

I firmly believe that you can't help who you fall for. But you CAN help what you DO about it.

So true! And I'm so happy you are doing something about it!

So...that's pretty comforting to remember in all this. If he ISN'T attracted to me he can't help it so it's not fair to hold that against him.

I think it's pretty clear that he IS attracted to you, since he did ask to kiss you.

From all you've said so far, it sounds like a slam dunk! I say enjoy the next couple days, the anticipation, and the butterflies! You only get the chance to go through this period once in a relationship.

And thanks for sharing, and letting us all live vicariously through you!

Good luck tomorrow- we're all pulling for you.

Alright, I gotta ask, since you brought it up - does Joe have similar beliefs in God, the Bible, etc?  I am a Christian, and I can't imagine what a life with someone would be like (as in dating/marriage) without having that common ground to stand on, especially when life gets tough.  I applaud you for taking time to pray and study, and encourage you to continue to do so as things progress either way.  Anyway, best of luck tomorrow night.  Just relax and be yourself.

lvthgme - 2007-05-02 8:44 AM  If he ISN'T attracted to me he can't help it so it's not fair to hold that against him. =)

Ok he has clearly established that he IS attracted to you.  He knows it, we know it, YOU need to believe it.  Just go into Thursday knowing that he wants you and you'll be totally fine .

Seriously, though, talk about coincidences.... this story is just like my friend's.  She played volleyball too and liked this guy but was so shy and nervous she would always avoid him.  She somehow made it through 23 years of her life without being kissed, so she would freak if she thought something like that was going to happen.  She would bolt.  I imagine she would have slammed to door just like you did.  Want to here the kicker?  His name is..... JOE.  seriously.  AND..... they are now married.

Hey that cool!  Our suspense will be over by the afternoon now!  Does this mean you'll get all dolled up for work?

lvthgme - 2007-05-02 2:32 PM WELL...I don't know WHAT to think but I emailed some ideas concerning tomorrow plans to Joe and he replied that LUNCH would work better (didn't say why, I didn't ask) if that is okay and I said sure. So...lunch tomorrow. =)

Well it's clear that he didn't realize this was a date, LOL!! I'm willing to bet he thinks this is the I  just want to be friends but don't want this to be awkward between us talk. So, lunch would be better because it's less risky...

Or, maybe he's stressing about what to wear and lunch takes care of that problem since you'll be in work clothes...

LUNCH?!?!?  that's not the way to end this message board drama.  You need to have dinner or drinks, you can fit everything in under an hour.

Jumping ahead a bit, but: How funny would the church look if this actually happens. I keep seeing a sea of lycra on the bride's side as her BT friends show up.

How freaked would Joe be if he knew he was the subject of this thread and now dozens (hundreds? thousands?) of BT fascination???

He could be horrified (bad...bad...), or he could be blown away in a good way (instant celebrity status, subject of national adoration, cameos on Letterman, Leno, etc).

Maybe Kiley should not mention the whole BT thread.....at least not yet.........

Oh hell, print it out and give him a laminated copy.

I only have one ream of paper though...

I have several.  And a laminator at home.
