Swim
Comments: Horrible Swim, couldn't get comfortable at all What would you do differently?: Kind of let down since IM California, needed to keep focused and train harder leading up to race, got a little lazy Transition 1
Comments: Great T1 What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Never felt good. Gears were grinding a bit, need to get it checked out before next ride What would you do differently?: Training Transition 2
Comments: Great T2, felt decent coming out, still thought 2:55 was possible with a string run What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Hamstrings got tight at mile 2.5, had to walk a little between 3 and 4 mile marks, loosened up, but at that point my morale was shot and I wasn't even going to break 3 like I did last year. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Post IM let down. Event comments: Great race, but I think the heat and camping of the venue is wearing down on me. I tried that no camping thing that didn't work, but the camping and not enjoying myself for a full weekend kind of sucks. I need to decide about next year. I know I want to do IM California in March and maybe I need to look at the Long course here rather than Olympic. I don't know I am just very unhappy with my performance, even it was the second best I have done here. Last updated: 2007-04-25 12:00 AM
