Subject: Plugging the end of aero bars - Syntace C2
I just read that for the Philadelphia Olympic (and all other tris for that matter) that I should have the ends of my Syntace C2 aero bars plugged. They came with these cheap plastic caps that popped off after my first ride on them. Any suggestions on what to plug em with?

Try the bike shop, they often have an assortment of different types of plugs.  If the plastic ones won't stay in (use adhesive?), you might try the expander type that have a little bolt which compresses them tight against the inside diameter of the bar.

WHen I had clip-on aerobars, they always had some from the sponsoring bike shop on race day that they just gave me. If you wrap your bars with bar tape, wrap past the end a little bit so that when you stick the plastic plugs, they have something to wedge in there against.

This sounds like a good excuse to drink a couple bottles of vino and save the corks. Kidding, every roll of bar tape I've bought had a set in the box. Not sure if they are the same size you need though. Call Syntace and complain, they should send you another set
