Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 5 a.m. has a bagel with peanut butter and a banana and set off on the 3 hour drive to ALton, NH. Got wicked tired on the way up so about halfway there I got a very large cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts.
Event warmup:

Got to the race about 40 minutes early. My legs were incredibly stiff from the drive up. Streched for a while and then made my way to the starting line.

Comments:

Run went well overall. I ran about 8 minutes faster than last year. Would have liek to put in a faster time, but I forgot how hilly the course is.
What would you do differently?:

Train more. During the last month work has been kicking my butt, and I haven't gotten in as many quality runs as I would have liked to.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around the finish area and pretty quickly took the bus back to my car -- I wasn't looking forward to the three hour ride home.

Performance: Good
Course: Lollipop shaped course with lots of hills (I believe there was a net elevation gain). Especially long hill around miles 4 and 5, then lots of rollers before a very steep hill at mile 10 and then flat to the finish. Very pretty views of the lake and mountains and some very nice lake houses throughout the course.

Hey good race Kelly.  If I had known who you were, I woulda said "Hi"!!  Sounds like you might have passed me somewhere along the way.  It sure was a great day, beats the rain that we had there last year!
