If I'm swimming in open water on Saturday, it will only be because I fell in the creek and I will be very cross.  Not to mention very cold.

Y'all have fun!

If you post with Safari, BT warns you that support is very experimental.  I rolled the dice.  Blank post means I have to start camino to put the text back in.  I've started copying my post to the clipboard before hitting submit so that I can post it in camino easily.

You would think I would know better than to take my chances.  Given 50/50 odds, I'll get it wrong 80% of the time.

Rented a wetsuit today. Hope it fits. I had to get a men's size, the women's were all gone. I am excited to get in some open water practice.

Tommy, be careful on those slippery rocks.

Eric, be careful with those slippery diapers.

Ya'll send some Aquaman vibes my way.

Why are you posting with animals on a safari?  Or an El Camino for that matter?  My keyboard usually works best for me.

Or an El Camino for that matter?

And now the thread takes a left turn.

I got new tires put on my car yesterday at the garage here in Davidson. The proprietor was taking care of, nay, doting on his black El Camino. He had the chrome license plate holder off and was hand polishing it. I came back an hour and a half later and he's still lovingly caressing various parts of the car. This had to be newly painted and chromed. It was immaculate, down to the dual chromed exhaust.

On and El Camino. This really baffles me. Is this like restoring a steel beauty like an early 70s Colnago? No, Ernesto Colnago made art. An El Camino? Well, it's a Chevrolet.

Of course he probably laughed at me as I rode my bike up to the garage sporting shaved legs.

Edit - Oh yeah, it was an El Conquista version.

Hey -  I need the practice and still have the wetsuit that I didn't wear at Clemson on Saturday.  I will most likely be there.  J

I'm in. Water temp is 72 on tues at 10:20pm. It was 78 when I looked yesterday afternoon. May end up being a bit warm for wetsuits (unless you're Tommy).

Last week it was 71, and that seemed a little chilly. I may just wear the wetsuit for reassurance.

I was there last week and just about everyone there had a wetsuit on.  It was my first time wearing a wetsuit so it was a weird experience for me.  I had a tough time at first and it took me awhile to relax.  I think the water was warm enough not to wear a wetsuit so I'm sure if it's warmed up even more you probably won't need one.

Have fun!

Mel
