Swim
Comments: Passed one and was passed once. Good pace throughout. Took advantage of turns. What would you do differently?: Build more endurance with free-style. I had to switch pretty quickly to breaststroke and backstroke to breathe. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Used bike segment to refresh and rehydrate. What would you do differently?: Use lower gears on hills. Push myself harder. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Had company almost the whole run. Had no idea I was actually going as fast as the time suggests. Felt exhausted at end, but pushed to the end without a walking break. What would you do differently?: Take some Goo just before the run for extra energy. I had a slow start, but good carry-through. Post race
Warm down: Stretch, energy drink, bananas, muffins, walking to relax muscles. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat during the run, bad form in swimming, and overall low level of fitness at this stage of the year. Need to do more training. Event comments: Very friendly race, very late start but nice to watch the elite athletes before our own start. Great to have results before we left. Last updated: 2007-05-18 12:00 AM
